Very good book. Besides the physical danger Jolene is in from the person who wants her dead, there is also the psychological suspense of Jo's returning memories. I really liked both Jo and Levi. She started out not wanting to believe that her nightmares were actually returning memories. When her father was killed in a suspicious accident she became the next one in danger. She hadn't known until then that Levi was also her father's contact with WITSEC not just his friend. She had started developing feelings for him and then felt deeply betrayed when she thought that she and her father were just part of Levi's job. I liked the way that she decided that she really wanted to get some answers and began to trust that Levi would keep her safe. She was also a lot stronger emotionally that she thought she was and was able to stop fighting the memories. She also stopped fighting her feelings for Levi. I also liked the way she started to take an active role in their plans rather than just going along with Levi even when it got her into trouble. I thought her plans at the end were pretty good and that she did a decent job of trying to anticipate any problems that might come up.
Levi had gone above and beyond his job as a marshal. He was not supposed to get personally involved with the people he protects, but he was strongly drawn to Jo and her father. His friendship with Jo's dad led him to do some things on his own to keep an eye on Jo and try to protect her. After her father's death he went against orders in order to watch over her. He had a lot of inner conflict regarding his feelings for her and also feeling that he wasn't doing a good enough job protecting her. I loved seeing him try to fight his feelings knowing that once she went into WITSEC he would never see her again. But he also could not bear to desert her when he knew she needed him. I loved the way that he was able to help her with her memories but also was able to comfort her when she needed it. I thought he was a little too trusting of his contacts but it did all work out for him in the end.

Very good book. I really liked both VJ and Kris. VJ is from a small town in Texas and can't wait to get away to something better. When she comes across Kris lost on the back roads she is immediately attracted to him. She leads him back to her town where he can get something to eat before he heads on his way. She sees something in him that tells her that he's not as emotionless as he appears. When she finds out that he doesn't believe in love she is determined to show him that it does, Kris is stunned by her beauty and the way that she is so frank with him. When she needs his help he is more than happy to give it.
I loved the way that VJ can see past the walls that Kris has put up to protect himself. She is convinced that there is more to him than he lets on and uses her time with him to prove it to him. She really fell for him very quickly and couldn't help seeing a happy ending for them, in spite of the fact that he kept telling her that he would be headed back to LA in a few days. I loved the way that she pointed out to him when she saw him trying to put the walls back up. She had a great way of saying things that would surprise him and bring him out of the moods he would get in. I also liked the way that she stood up for herself against Kyla and the paparazzi, and then wanted to do whatever was needed to help his dream come true.
Kris was an interesting guy. Besides his Greek hotness that appealed so quickly to VJ, he was basically a nice guy. When her brothers tried to intimidate her he jumped in ready to protect her, and when she had to get away he immediately gave her the ride she needed. He was in the habit of keeping his emotions under a tight lid because of the abuse he saw his father inflict on his mother. So he refused to believe that real love existed. When he met VJ and she tried to convince him of her point of view he was amused at first. He found that she quickly got under his skin but knew he had to resist her in order to get the financing he needed for his movie. I loved seeing him as he would start to loosen up and then back off. But he just couldn't stay that way. I loved the ending when he realized that it was her love that was most important. The epilogue was fantastic showing what was possible when you believe.

Good book. Cia needed this fake marriage and then divorce with Lucas in order to continue her mother's work with abused women. Lucas needs the marriage with Cia to fix his tarnished image and fix his company. They have no intention of allowing messy emotions to get involved. But there is also an intense attraction that has to be dealt with. Lucas soon starts a campaign to get Cia into his bed and she soon gives in. Neither one will admit to there being anything between them except sex. Cia tries to keep her emotions apart as she can't deal with the idea of any more loss in her life. Her parents' deaths devastated her. She also has a very jaded outlook on marriage because of her work with abused women. She can't believe that Lucas, with his playboy ways, would be truly interested in a real marriage. She is sure he is just in it for the challenge and will soon be bored and move on. Lucas started out wanting the fun with no strings and an end date. He soon discovered that being with Cia made him want to be a better man. He decided he wanted to make the marriage permanent, but still tried to keep his emotions out of it. I loved the way that he mostly understood Cia and did so many things for her. He did make a couple of mistakes at the end that nearly lost him Cia but finally saw the light and won the day. I'm looking forward to more books from her,, and hope to see one about Lucas's brother Matthew.
